In Honour of Hel.

She is the peace at the end of the long night, she is the peace after a hard lonely life. They say you die alone, but with her no one dies alone. Hail Hel

Trip to Edmonton

Lets see a long drive, hot days and not getting enough sleep. On the other hand, beautiful flowers in my frineds garden, a cute little chihuahua, good food and drink, movies on a huge TV (60" flatscreen), catching up, seeing my nephew grow to almost my height.
I have even managed to get somethinmg set up that I was having such a hard time doing at home, yes thats right a bank account, see I have one at my local C.U. but I wanted an extra one so that I didn't have to rely on just that one, if I need to make a deposit or something like a paypal account. Which I ust verified, so that all of you can now feel safe with using your paypal with me and have proper recourse. Well that was dull lol.
Well lets see, I have built a greenhouse for my friend, yes a greenhouse, phew, but so worth it seeing all the lovely plants in there. She still wants me to build a linen cabinet arg. :) Little Hamilton ( her dog ) is a nice surrogate to my Sif and Istaellia. Food is wonderful, great cook. Well I shall add more here later.

Pictures of Hel

Thanks Idun

Some pictures that I love.

Recently I have found some amazing pictures that I want to share with you. I just have to figure out how to add them. LOL.

I am really lost when it comes to certain aspects of blogging and the internet and computers. Why is it that these things always have to be so difficult to do these things? I always thought that the introduction of these types of sites were going to make it so that any one can do these thing, the language is confusing and the assumption that we all know how to use html is so infuriating.
I do not know how nor do I have the interest in learning these things, I shouldn't have to that is why all these IT guys exist, is so that people like me should have to learn these things. If this makes me lazy or whatever fine I embrace that about me, damn it some times you need some one to hold your hand through the difficult befuddling things in the world.

Ok that said I am now going to try and figure this out on my own LOL.

Beltaine Weekend.

So as of yesterday the 1st of May it is Beltaine 2010. What does this mean to me?
Well lets see..... A new start for one, another year under my belt ( 3rd of May is my 37th Birthday). I really do want to start my garden however I think it will take longer than expected, as I have no soil to start my plants and nowhere to put said plants yet.
I did a rune casting on myself last week and the same rune came up every time, Othila, now I know the meaning of this rune however, I am having difficulty putting into the perspective of how it relates to my life right now. Here I will give its meaning and I am borrowing the meaning from
http://www.aswynn.co.uk/ just to make it easier ( copy and paste)

Germanic name: OTHlLA
(Anglo-Saxon: ETHEL; Old Norse: none; Phonetic value: O)
'Traditional meaning: inherited land
The oldest literal meaning of this rune passed down to us from the continental Germanic source is "noble." In this sense it is directly related to the Anglo-Saxon word atheling, meaning "prince" or "noble." The German word adel and the Dutch word edel also mean "noble." Both derive from the same root. The god who is most obviously related to this rune is Odin.

The shape of Othila is a combination of Inguz and Gebo, and Othila can be interpreted as the "gift of Ing," which probably explains why Othila has been related to the concept of inheritance by some modem commentators. By comparing the concept of inheritance to the Inguz rune, the previous rune in the futhark, it can be established that it is genetic material that is being inherited on an esoteric level. On a material level Othila implies inherited land and the rights to its possession.

See my conundrum?

I am having a difficult time with this rune and it is driving me nuts, any help on this would be appreciated. Onto other things.

The weather here today is sunny with spots of rain, and tomorrow it is supposed to be just rain , ha my birthday usually sucks because of the weather LOL. Well that is all for now, I had a lot of things I wanted to discuss but they escape me at the moment so I will come back and add more later today.
